βοΈLegal foundations for decentralization

DappRadar's evolution from a centralized entity to a vision of "a community-owned dapp store, built by millions and used by billionsβ, necessitated a significant shift towards decentralization. To facilitate this transformation, two critical legal entities were established by the end of 2021: the DappRadar Foundation in the Cayman Islands and DappRadar Labs Limited in the British Virgin Islands. These organizations were crafted to provide a legal infrastructure, or "Legal Wrapper," for the DappRadar DAO, ensuring a stable, compliant, and transparent basis for our decentralized activities, in harmony with our dedication to legal integrity and community-driven governance.
The DappRadar Foundation functions as an ownerless entity, acting as the legal mantle for the DappRadar DAO. The law mandates the appointment of a supervisor for such entities, a role presently held by International Protectors & Advisors Ltd., also fulfilling the secretary function. Early 2022 saw the engagement of Paul Parker, a crypto-savvy professional director, to further reinforce our governance structure. Registered with the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority and a member of the Cayman Islands Directors Association, Paul's expertise and credentials are invaluable assets to our leadership.
DappRadar Labs Limited operates as the DAO's active arm, overseeing the treasury and maintaining direct ownership and directorship under the DappRadar Foundation, ensuring a unified and strategic direction.
